The International Festival of Burnsville (IFB) and Burnsville Performing Arts Center (BPAC) partner to bring the exhibit Cultural Perspectives to accompany the International Festival of Burnsville. This year’s exhibit is sub-titled My Home, Your Home, Our Home. The show will feature 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, and textile art. This year, we are featuring artwork that defines or describes home and/or community, either symbolically or realistically. Artwork may conceptually, abstractly, or realistically visually demonstrate the artist’s answers to these (although not limited to) questions: What is your home or community like? What do you envision when you think of either your or another home or community? What is a memory you have associated with home or community?

International Festival of Burnsville: This year marks the fourth annual International Festival of Burnsville in Burnsville’s Nicollet Commons Park on Saturday, June 19, 2010. During this event guests peruse food & vendor tents, and admire cultural displays. Dancers, musicians, and other entertainers exhibit our city’s diverse population and traditions. It is the mission of the International Festival to eliminate prejudice and discrimination by conducting a fun community event designed to promote and celebrate cultural diversity through the sharing of art, food, and music of various cultures.
